The third part of the story:
The Victorian mirror is from England (Sue Cook).
By placing it against the inner wall, the daylight,
that flow through the windows, is now being reflected into the room.
Besides the cabinet there are two beautiful hats on elegant hat stands.
They are a nice piece of craftsmanship and were made in Germany.
The hats are in the colors of the peacock and
are made for you by a small milliner in England.
Notice how carefully the feathers were bent into a wonderful composition.
Ofcourse there has to be matching shoes with this gorgeous hats.
For the hat with the darkest feathers, there were made perky shoes with on both sides tiny pearl buttons in the color of the hat.
For the other hat there are shoes made in exactly the same light color as the hat.
There is a tiny subtile silk rose with in the middle a little crystal in the dark color of the ribbon.
Everything about this room is just gorgeous, so many pretty little details.

BeantwoordenVerwijderenGeweldig mooi allemaal!!!
Now I know why this room is so beautiful: it is made with love.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIn Christian symbology the peacock is a symbol of immortality, often confused or merged with a phoenix, rising from the ashes ...
So it is a hymn to life and beauty :-)
A warm embrace and admiration
